Abstract

The K 2Cu 1−xMn xF 4 phase has been studied by magnetic X-ray and neutron diffraction measurements. For 0 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.20 the material is ferromagnetic with a slight decrease of the Curie temperature with increasing x. The magnetization also decreases with rising x due to antiferromagnetic couplings between Mn 2+ and Cu 2+ ions.
