Abstract
The series expansion of the local appraoch to investigate the intraatomic electron correlation and the interatomic electron and spin correlation has been extended to the Extended Hubbard Model. We found that the interatomic electron and spin correlation can not be neslected for calculating the correlation energy, the local moments and the local polarization. There exists the antiferromagnetic local polarization for large n, while there exists the ferromagnetic local polarization for small n.
