Abstract

Abstract The reaction of ferrocencarbaldehyde with cyclohexylamine or p-anisidine in ethanolic solution gave N-(cyclohexyl)ferrocenylmethylideneamine (1) (92%) and N-(4-methoxyphenyl)ferrocenylmethylideneamine (2) (74%). Both structures were undoubtedly confirmed by MS, elemental and spectroscopic analyses, and structure 2 was determined by single crystal X-ray structure analysis.
