Abstract
We investigate classical vector spin models of the rare-earth iron garnet ferrimagnetsyttrium iron garnet (YIG) and gadolinium iron garnet (GdIG) using Monte Carlosimulations. Critical temperatures agree well with experiment. A compensation point isobserved in GdIG, again in good agreement with experiment.
