Abstract

Antiferromagnetic superexchange: Two new 1D ferrimagnetic chains [Gd(pzam)3(H2O)M(CN)8]⋅H2O (MV=Mo 1, W 2) are synthesized and characterized; magnetic susceptibility data indicate antiferromagnetic superexchange between GdIII and MV via the cyanido bridge, and the occurrence of long-range magnetic ordering between chains at Tc≈0.7 K in 1 (see figure).
