Abstract
Pretendemos mostrar neste artigo a proximidade entre a literatura pessoana e a primeira filosofia romântica alemã, dando especial ênfase à questão do gênio romântico, tema presente nos fragmentos deixados por F. Schlegel e Novalis e trabalhado no livro, "O gênio romântico", de Márcio Suzuki. Fernando Pessoa se interessou pelo primeiro romantismo alemão, os vestígios encontrados em sua biblioteca particular e em documentos do seu espólio comprovam esse interesse.
