Abstract
Summary form only given. We demonstrate the first application of high harmonics (HH) of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser to the femtosecond time-resolved luminescence spectroscopy of inner-shell excitation in an alkali-halide crystal CsCl. HH are shown to be the useful light source for the research on inner-shell excited states by observing the femtosecond luminescence induced by inner-shell excitation. The time dependence of the luminescence by inner-shell excitation reflects the relaxation dynamics of inner-shell excited states and clarifies the relaxation processes related to inner-shell excited states.
