Abstract
The relaxation process (cooling process) from the higher vibrational state of S 1 chrysene in solution was investigated by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. The experimental results were analyzed by the modified Sulzer—Wieland equation. The dissipation mechanism of the excess vibrational energy was discussed.
