Abstract

Tonight's lecture has a title--it's called Feminism and Fertility. I was in Arizona yesterday, and I thought it necessary to explain that fertility doesn't have any connection with promiscuity, or free love, or any of those lewd topics. But now that I am in liberated Colorado, I am sure that you realize that every human being, regardless of the sexual career that is chosen, every human being has notional fertility, and it really doesn't have any direct relationship to depravity or free love or anything like that. But for everybody here, the management of fertility is going to constitute a problem. For most of the people in the age group I see before me, the problem is principally how to be infertile. But when you get to my ripe age, you may find another problem, which is how to be fertile-which is especially difficult if you have a low tolerance of the opposite sex. Now being as I see quite a number of them before me, and seeing that they are the fertile sex, I dare say I should deal with men first.
