Abstract

Female Reproductive Health, edited by Simmons and Laufer, is a 177-page book that provides an update on female reproductive health. This book is composed of ten articles with varied subjects in reproductive health, such as legal issues, menstrual abnormalities, pelvic pain, sexually transmitted diseases, vulvar disorders, and ovarian masses. The book opens with an article on legal issues, then turns to sexuality, gynecological care, and contraception. Evaluation and treatment of STDs follows. The book then focuses on menstrual physiology and abnormalities, and closes with chapters on vulvar lesions and ovarian masses. The articles are well written, concise, and informative, with excellent diagrams. Most articles provide an appropriate number of timely references.
