Abstract

The paper is a consideration about the Italian Decree 267/2020 of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT) laying down specific and extraordinary rules to finance support measures for publishing sector. The regulations become an opportunity for developing librarian collections and strengthening the territorial, social and economic cohesion in library networks. In this scenario CSBNO, a consortium composed by the libraries of 32 towns in the north-west of Milan metropolitan area, will attempt to promote a new collaboration amongst libraries and local bookshops in order to respond to a society changing its own habits of access to information, use, and purchase.
