Abstract

Different problems in the reconstructive surgery of saddle nose are discussed. The various problems of the corrective procedure for saddle nose are described as well as the different possibilities of using autologous (autogen) and homologous (allogen) cartilaginous and bone transplants or alloplastic (Silastic) implants. Because obstruction of nasal breathing accompanies a large proportion of the noses which appear to require correction externally, internal and external correction of the saddle nose must always be carried out at the same time.
