Abstract

The educational process is a meeting place of students and teachers in which children and young people absorb the content, based on transmission or transaction model. Research activities as such inspire students to ask questions and get answers, often accompanied by emotions. Subjective experience enhances children’s daily learning process. The author tries to answer the question: What emotions are experienced by first grade pupils (7 year-old), when they are experimenting in nature-related classes and categorise them. Class participants’ presentations about the feelings related to experimental cognition of reality were collected through interviews. They were categorised, given sense and meaning. The study included 307 randomly selected primary school first-grade students.
