Abstract

An investigator at the New York‐based Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research contends that a new $3.1 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will help expand understanding of the genetics of cognitive function and their connection to major mental illnesses. Findings in this area could ultimately lead to breakthrough treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, major depression, autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
