Abstract“Property, Real Estate & Development” (MIC: SIC: 6798 NAIC: 525930)Federal Realty Investment Trust is an equity Real‐Estate‐Investment‐Trust (REIT) focusing in the ownership, management, development and redevelopment of retail and mixed‐use properties. As of Dec 31 2007, Co. owned or had a majority ownership interest in 82 community and neighborhood shopping centers and mixed‐used properties, comprising of approximately 18.2 million square feet, located primarily in communities metropolitan markets in the Northeast and Mid‐Atlantic regions of U.S., as well as California. In addition, Co. owned, through a joint venture in which it owns a 30.0% interest, seven retail real estate projects totaling approximately 1.0 million square feet as of Dec 31 2007.
