Abstract

Colorectal cancer (CRC) can arise from adenomatous or serrated polyps, which differ in their detection rate and risk of cancer progression. In this issue, Lee etal. report that these polyp subtypes demonstrate distinct fecal microbial species composition and metabolic potential that associate with diet and medications.
