Abstract

I report three cases of fecal incontinence during the clinical course of myasthenia gravis. Fecal incontinence developed after withdrawal from the pyridostigmine and improved after re-administration of the pyridostigmine. Myasthenia gravis could affect external anal sphincter and puborectalis function. Myasthenia gravis is presumably one of the causes of fecal incontinence. We must check for fecal incontinence in the patients with myasthenia gravis.
