Abstract

Over the past decades, a significant number of cases of invasions and expansions of the ranges of insects belonging to various taxa have been noted in Transbaikalia. Among them, one can single out both temporary, known for their habitation (including mass ones) only in certain years, and those that persist for a number of years and are examples of the successful expansion of species ranges. Cases of rapid expansion of the ranges of several species into new territories have also been noted. This can be explained by the tendency of the species to long-distance migrations or the ability to spread passively with the help of humans. For other species, the most acceptable hypothesis is the influence of climate change, which makes new territories more accessible.
