Abstract

The inhabitants of the circumpolar region are experiencing the unfavorable conditions of the Arctic. The incidence of skin cancer in Europe’s northern areas is higher than skin cancer incidence in the southern regions. Also, in the circumpolar region, residents most often live in small groups at large distances from each other, which significantly complicates the early diagnosis of skin cancer. Most often, residents of the northern regions are treated by general practitioners who are not specialists in cancer diagnosis. There is the challenge of developing a simple device for general practitioners that can diagnose skin cancer early. This study aims to create such a tool that would allow a non-specialist to diagnose skin cancer and save images so that it is possible to check the condition of the problem skin area in dynamics for several months.
