Abstract
HIV infection still remains an urgent problem of modern medicine. The incidence has continued to rise in recent years. The variety of clinical manifestations of the infection, not pathognomonic in the early stages, leads to misdiagnosis for an extended time period. The aim of the study was to assess the structure of skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases in patients with HIV infections in the Volgograd region, to identify the features of the clinic and the course of these pathologies. A retrospective analysis of case histories of 306 HIV-infected patients who applied for medical care to dermatological institutions in Volgograd over the past 5 years was carried out. The authors describe the diverse features of the clinic, the course of skin diseases, syphilis and urogenital infections in patients with HIV infection. Knowledge of these signs of related specialties will allow for doctors to avoid treatment, diagnostic and tactical errors and will contribute to the early diagnosis of HIV infection and skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases alike.
