Abstract

This article examines the study of the chemical composition and colloidal-chemical properties of local clays of Uzbekistan and their comparison with other clays. As well as the features of the chemical composition and colloidal - chemical properties of local palygorskite clays. The distinctive features of the chemical composition and properties of local palygorskite clays of the Navai deposit (Uzbekistan) in comparison with the Cherkassky palygorskite (Ukraine) have been studied. Palygorskite clays are considered a valuable raw material for the production of special types of drilling fluids used in drilling deep salt-bearing formations.
