Abstract

The dynamics of optically stimulated atomic-molecular conversion in a Bose-Einstein condensate has been investigated, i.e., the periodic association of two unlike Bose atoms into a heteronuclear molecule followed by dissociation of the molecule into two atoms. It has been shown that the period and amplitude of the molecular density oscillations depend substantially on the initial particle densities and phase difference.
