Abstract
The organization of scientific research work of future professionals in the field of hospitality is one of the urgent problems in the theory and methodology of professional education, as a modern professional must know the basics of research activity and methods of conducting researches. A specialist of hospitality industry must know the basics of theory and methodology of scientific research, skills in working with scientific text, the ability to apply general scientific methods of scientific cognition, have a systematic approach to hospitality research, the ability to find, analyze and process scientific and technical information in the field of hospitality with use of information and communication technologies, etc. The methodological basis of this activity is a research approach that determines the ways, forms and methods of scientific research work of students in higher education. The purpose of the article is to study the features of scientific research work of future professionals in the field of hospitality in the process of professional training. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of psychological and pedagogical literature − used to clarify the specifics of scientific research training of hospitality professionals; generalizations - to formulate the author's conclusions. It is established that scientific research work of students is a special kind of intellectual and creative work of students, which arises as a result of individual mechanisms of search activity and provides independent research aimed at theoretical and experimental study of phenomena and processes, substantiation of facts, identification of patterns using methods. scientific knowledge. This activity can be regulated by the educational program, and performed outside the educational process. It is divided into educational-scientific, scientific-research work, according to the educational degree at which it is implemented.
