Abstract

This paper discusses the features of one-dimensional probability distributions for random values in the form of the number of emitted photons of visible radiation from two different types of objects in the earth-atmosphere system (a star and the daytime disk of the earth), recorded by means of optoelectronic apparatus. © 2004 Optical Society of America
