Abstract

SummaryDuring the well killing process, significant gas breakthroughs and fluid loss are observed at the oil and gas condensate field in Volga-Ural province, which requires significant usage of blocking compositions and increases the well service costs. Designed well killing technology should ensure minimal well killing fluid penetration into the reservoir and prevent a gas breakthrough. The paper presents theoretical, experimental and analytical work, the result of common and developed by the author research methods. Laboratory experiments were conducted on modern high-precision equipment with maintenance of in-situ conditions.
