Abstract
The article deals with certain aspects of the activity of the Russian advocateship. In particular, the article examines issues related to the lawyer’s “monopoly” in various types of legal proceedings. The status of the bar as a special type of professional legal activity was shown. In addition, the problem of the need to control legal activities through the issuance of a license is considered. At the same time, both Russian legislation and individual acts of an international nature were used.
