Features of blood antioxidant defense indicators in patients with acute and chronic cholelithiasis

Abstract

In this work, the indicators of the blood antioxidant system in male and female cholelithiasis patients of elderly and senile age have been studied. An increase in the SOD activity and the content of CP (ceruloplasmin) in the blood of patients with cholelithiasis is a distinctive feature of the blood antioxidant system. Age and gender peculiarities, which were manifested by a lack of response to the pathological process on the part of the CP, were noted only in elderly women.
