Abstract

Red ginger simplicia is a dried red ginger product that has been dried in a dryer with the drying temperature and RH set to achieve the standard quality of red ginger simplicia. The BRIN Research Center for Agroindustry investigated the optimization of red ginger drying conditions, which will be used at The Center for Herbal Medicine Services and Scientification (BPSJ) Pekalongan. The purpose of this study is to look into the feasibility of drying red ginger simplicia in a Hybrid Dryer with a batch capacity of 600 kg. According to the analysis, the required investment is Rp2,146,636,667, which will be funded by 60% of loans and 40% of own capital. Furthermore, the NPV is Rp 1,359,672,485, the IRR is 19%, the Net B/C is 1.67, the payback period is 3.88 years, and the Break-Even Point for production is 10,275.63 kg simplicia. The inclusion of sensitivity analysis in this feasibility study is thought to sharpen information on how sensitive the change in the feasibility value in the use of hybrid dryers in the production of red ginger simplicia is due to changes in several business parameters. This plan, however, must be supported by the continued availability of raw materials that meet the standard.
