Abstract

Exploring the immense cosmos is not just the fundamental survival urge for humans, but also the inescapable final aim of human civilization. Mars exploration will be the first step that human civilization takes to explore this universe because, for one thing, Mars and Earth are the two close planets; for another, Mars is located in the habitable zone in the solar system. This research is aimed to analyze the main problems of human migration to Mars with the current state of technology in a timeframe of a few decades. The research is conducted based on three basic factors for humans to live: water, shelter, and food, with the addition of law to support a colony. The result indicates more research to be conducted due to many unknown factors that will happen in a new environment.
