Abstract

Rainbow trout, Salmo gairdneri, were immunized with sonicated metacercarial antigens from the eye fluke, Diplostomum spathaceum. Immunization increased survival times in rainbow trout by about 4 months when compared with unimmunized controls. Survival time increased with both size of the fish and strength of the antigen dose.
