Abstract

Background: Isolated Limb Perfusion (ILP) is a useful induction treatment, enabling downsizing of large, irresectable tumours to facilitate a function-preserving resection following ILP. Given the extent of disease, a proportion of these patients require reconstructive surgery following resection. The effect of ILP on endothelial damage and surrounding tissue has been previously described, however there is limited data regarding ILP-related complications for reconstructive surgery. This study looked at post-operative and oncological outcomes in patients that underwent reconstructive surgery following ILP in our institute.
