Abstract

The earthquake that occurred on September 28, 2018 with an earthquake strength of 7.4 at a depth of 10 Km, triggered a tsunami along the coast of Palu city. This condition resulted in several affected areas, one of which Layana Indah Village which is estimated to cause damage and losses after the disaster amounting to 12.6 billion rupiah. This is due to the lack of maximum protection in coastal areas as a coastal barrier as well as the preservation of vegetation on the coast. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of implementing a mangrove program as a tsunami mitigation measure in Layana Indah Village. The research method used is qualitative by using secondary data, observation and interviews. The analysis technique uses economic valuation analysis with cost mitigation method. The results of this study indicate that the application of structural tsunami mitigation efforts by planting Rhizophora apiculata species is declared feasible because it has a value of 1.5 which means the value of activity >1 based on the results of economic valuation analysis and CBR (cost benefit Ratio).
