Abstract

The percentage of time that the irrigation load would be subject to control during the occurrence of peak power was addressed. Irrigation and peak power occurred together about half of the time and pumps could be turned off only about 41% of the time without crop damage. Combining the two factors, irrigation load control would be effective only an estimated 20% of the time.
