Abstract

Introduction: Advances in endoscopic techniques have allowed for endonasal resection of a wider range of skull base lesions. With the increase in number of procedures performed, some patients are identified that have pre-existing sinus disease. Traditionally, this was considered a relative contraindication to performing endonasal transsphenoidal skull base resection, as it was thought necessary to surgically treat the sinus disease prior to performing endonasal resection of skull base lesions.
