Abstract
Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare but aggressive skin cancer in which there is a paucity of published evidence regarding the role of FDG-PET scanning. The primary aim of this study is to assess the impact of staging, post-therapy response assessment and ‘re-staging’ PET scans (performed for suspected disease recurrence) in the management of MCC.
