Abstract

Post-traumatic superficial femoral artery pseudoaneurysm are rare. The aim of their treatment is to exclude the pseudoaneurysm from the arterial circulation while maintaining distal vascularization of the limb. That can be done by open surgical repair or by endovascular procedure. We report three cases of post-traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the superficial femoral artery operated on in our centre. The authors want to present three surgical treatment modalities for post-traumatic pseudoaneurysm, of the superficial femoral artery, namely direct suture, bypass using an inverted saphenous vein graft and ligation of the superficial femoral artery.
