Summary

Introduction

Many collecting trips usually targeted the higher regions of the Pamir Mountains (Pamir Autonomous Region) in the summer months, as rare and commercially valuable Parnassius species (autocrator, charltonius, etc.) could be found there [Müting, 1970]. This resulted that the undoubtedly interesting and special summer moth fauna of this area has been far better known than the more diverse western areas [Tshikolovets, 2003]. Another peculiarity of the situation is that early spring and late autumnal periods are seldomly sampled.
