Abstract

In this study, we aim to analyze the names of non-human beings that populate Mihai Eminescu’s poetic universe, as they appear in the only volume of poetry he published during his life, Poesii (1884), with a preface by Titu Maiorescu. Zoononyms have been classified according to their anatomical features, in birds and mammals, to provide an overview of Eminescu’s inner world in this regard.
