Abstract

In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy approach is proposed to deal with output regulation of unknown nonlinear systems with actuator failures. The actuator failures under consideration can be lock-in-place or/and loss of effectiveness. Based on fuzzy logic systems (FLS) equipped with adaptive algorithms to approximate the nonlinear system functions and the occurred failures together, a fault tolerant control law is developed to achieve asymptotic output regulation and closed-loop stability, despite the system and actuator faults are all unknown. A numerical simulation study illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.
