Abstract

In order to process the non-stationary vibration signals such as speed up or speed down signals effectively, a new method order domain average to analyze the instantaneously signals in the rotate mechanism is explored. Firstly, The vibration signals and the speed signals at start-up in gearbox are sampled in time-domain using B&K3560 multi-analyzer and then resampled the speed signals in angle-domain using spline interpolation arithmetic, so the constant angle increments data of the speed signals are obtained and then the vibration signals are resampled too. The data of the vibration signals are analyzed using order tracking analysis in order domain; the order domain average is applied into the fault diagnosis of gear based on these for the first time. The outcome shows that there is more superiority in dealing with the instantaneous signal with order tracking analysis than traditional frequency spectrum analysis. It can avoid effectively the "frequency smear" phenomenon, which cannot be solved with the traditional frequency spectrum method. It can be reduce the demodulation of the vibration signals with order domain average, and the method has the identify ability to the forepart fault in gearbox and the result proves that order domain average analysis is trenchancy supplement for traditional spectrum analysis and has more amplitude appliance foreground.
