Abstract

There are many reasons for the weak radar echo, involving radar transmitter, radar receiving, antenna feed and other systems. The weak radar echo caused by the klystron characteristics is relatively rare in the maintenance practice. The paper first introduces the research progress of the CINRAD/CC echo fault in China, the signal flow, fault diagnosis ideas and possible fault causes are described; Secondly, in July 2016, it takes the phenomenon of Jiamusi radar-station (CINRAD/CC) as an example. According to the examining to the possible causes of signal flow one by one, the statement and analysis to the malfunction elimination, repair process, it is concluded that the fault is caused by an equal driven output power change of the klystron. Finally, the paper puts forward a technical summary of the fault repair treatment of the weak radar echo and hopes to have reference for the peer.
