Abstract
In this paper, recursive parameter estimation algorithms are used to only estimate the parameters of a given element in a global plant model. Continuous-time models of the plant are mainly considered. The use of the plant a priori information reduces the computational effort. The technique appears suitable for model-based fault detection algorithms.
