Abstract

For capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) safe and reliable operation, this article first introduces the structure of CVT capacitance bleeder, electromagnetic unit and secondary terminal, then analysis that if the end shield is not grounded there will exist high suspended voltage. Finally combined with actual cases, infrared temperature measurement technology was used to detect and analyze abnormal heating of CVT secondary junction box. It can be seen that infrared detection technology can realize online detection and analysis of secondary terminal faults of CVT.
