Abstract

This paper extends the analytic redundancy techniques, which have been widely developed through the parity space approach in the case of linear systems, to the FDI of nonlinear dynamic systems modeled by polynomial differential algebraic equations. The existence of parity relations is discussed, and the residuals evaluation form is developed for sensors, actuators and process component faults, which leads to give fault detectability and isolability conditions for algebraic dynamic systems.
