Abstract

Compared with the traditional AC distribution network, the topology of AC-DC hybrid distribution network is complex, and the fault types and influence are more complicated. Fault classification and treatment is a key link in the operation of AC-DC hybrid distribution network. Reasonable fault classification treatment can clarify the process of fault treatment to a large extent, so as to improve the reliability of AC-DC hybrid distribution network operation. By analyzing the influence of network topology and parameters, converter grounding mode, DC system fault isolation and DC fault location sequence on fault transient of AC-DC distribution system, this paper proposes fault classification and treatment mechanism of AC-DC hybrid distribution network. The fault classification and treatment mechanism comprehensively considers the reliability and economy of AC-DC hybrid distribution network operation. The analysis results of a typical AC-DC hybrid distribution network show that the fault classification of AC-DC hybrid distribution network proposed in this paper is clear and the treatment mechanism is reasonable.
