Abstract

This study presents the flexural fatigue analysis of hybrid fibre-reinforced self-compacting concrete (HyFRSCC) in which design fatigue lives of HyFRSCC containing various combinations of steel fibres (SF) and polypropylene fibres (PPF) have been estimated. The proportions of SF and PPF were kept as 100PPF, 75PPF–25SF, 50PPF–50SF, 25PPF–75SF and 100SF. The total fibre volume fraction was taken as 1%. The calculated values of Weibull parameters were used to estimate the mean and design fatigue lives of HyFRSCC. The HyFRSCC mix 100PPF has lesser variability in the fatigue life data, whereas HyFRSCC mix having 25PPF–75SF has been found to exhibit higher fatigue lives as compared to other fibre mix proportions.
