Abstract
Aspects of the inherent statistics related to loads due to lateral moored vessel movement and steel mechanical properties are investigated in order to obtain reliable parameters to evaluate the long-term non-linear dynamics response of deep water piping systems, related to fatigue analysis. The analysis is based on the application of the SN curve associated with the linear cumulative damage rule proposed by Palmgren-Miner. The dynamic stresses acting on the structure are considered wide band, and statistically represented by a generalized gamma distribution.
