Abstract

Tests on M12 chemical anchors were conducted to determine the effect of concrete properties on the fatigue bearing capacity of anchors under shear loading. The properties of the concrete analysed included compression strength and a crack of 0.3 mm width compared with the non-cracked concrete. The results obtained produced a Wohler curve for each of the four test series. Furthermore, a function was developed for cracked and non-cracked concrete, which allows the estimation of the fatigue bearing capacity of bonded anchors in concrete of any compression strength. In the technical approvals issued so far, only worst-case values of fatigue bearing capacity have been given. It was also possible to recognise many characteristics of the fracture and recorded parameters, which allow conclusions about the type of failure. This makes the planning of future tests easier.
