Abstract
Purpose. The main purpose of this research is developing of the new model for fatigue analysis of welded joints in bridge structures based on local stress calculation. Methodology. Theoretical research was carried out. Solution of the main tasks of fatigue analysis was described: developing of the structure model for the global and local stressanalysis in elements; assignment of the moving load schemes; assignment of the fatigue curves; fatigue life calculation.Example of fatigue analysis of railway bridge is described. Findings. The main disadvantages of the current method for fatigue analysis of bridge structures are described and recommendations for improvement of the method are given. Originality. Developed and proved the new model for fatigue analysis of the bridge welded joints. Practical value. Recommended model allow to increase the convergence of fatigue life calculation for bridge welded joints including the local deformed stage of elements and their structural forms. This allow to decrease the volumeof materials in steel bridges.
