Abstract
VACCINATION against smallpox is a universal practice, and the more spectacular complications such as generalized vaccinia and encephalitis are well known. The purpose of this report is to describe the post-mortem findings in a case of myocarditis after vaccination and to call attention to other reports of cardiac affections, including myocarditis, that have followed this procedure. Case Report Eleven days after primary vaccination against smallpox a 39-year-old man died suddenly at home after complaining of chest pain.
