Abstract

VACCINATION against smallpox is a universal practice, and the more spectacular complications such as generalized vaccinia and encephalitis are well known. The purpose of this report is to describe the post-mortem findings in a case of myocarditis after vaccination and to call attention to other reports of cardiac affections, including myocarditis, that have followed this procedure.
